Reviewer Guidelines

The International Journal of Psychology relies on the expertise of peer reviewers to uphold the quality, integrity, and credibility of the research we publish. We kindly ask reviewers to follow the guidelines below when evaluating manuscripts.

The International Journal of Psychological Sciences

The International Journal of Psychology (IJP) values the essential role that reviewers play in helping us publish meaningful and high-quality research. By sharing their expertise, reviewers not only support the editorial team but also guide authors in strengthening their work. We ask reviewers to provide fair, respectful, and constructive feedback, while keeping all manuscripts confidential and letting us know if any potential conflicts of interest arise. When reviewing a submission, we encourage reviewers to look at its overall contribution to the field, the originality of the ideas, the soundness of the methodology, and the clarity of the writing. A great review usually includes a short summary of the paper, thoughtful comments on areas for improvement, and a recommendation for the editor about whether the paper should be accepted, revised, or declined. Our goal is for the review process to be both rigorous and supportive, helping authors refine their research. IJP follows a double-blind peer review process, meaning both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another. Reviews are typically completed within 2–4 weeks, and if extra time is needed, we encourage open communication with the editorial team. Whether you are reviewing or submitting, you are contributing to a community that values integrity, collaboration, and the advancement of psychological science. Together, we can ensure that the journal continues to share knowledge that makes a difference.
