Recommended structure

Manuscript Template

The following structure may be copied into a new document and adapted to the study design. It is guidance rather than a downloadable journal file.

Review manuscript

  1. Manuscript title
    Use a concise and informative title. Do not include author information.
  2. Abstract
    Provide the purpose, method, principal findings, and conclusion in no more than 300 words.
  3. Keywords
    List four to six searchable terms.
  4. Introduction
    State the context, research gap, objectives, and hypotheses or research questions.
  5. Method
    Describe design, participants, sampling, materials or measures, procedure, ethics, and analysis.
  6. Results
    Report findings clearly, including relevant descriptive and inferential information.
  7. Discussion
    Interpret findings in relation to the objectives and literature, then address implications and limitations.
  8. Conclusion
    Summarize the principal contribution without introducing new claims.
  9. Declarations
    Use anonymized placeholders where a declaration would reveal identity.
  10. References
    Format references consistently in APA 7th edition style.

Separate title page

  • Full manuscript title and short running title
  • Author names in publication order
  • Institutional affiliations and countries
  • Corresponding-author email and postal address
  • ORCID iDs, where available
  • Author contribution statement
  • Funding, conflict-of-interest, ethics, consent, data, acknowledgement, and AI-use statements

File checks

Before upload, inspect document properties, comments, tracked changes, headers, footers, acknowledgements, and self-citations for information that could identify the authors during double-blind review.
